The Objectives of the Environmental Management Construction Site Regulations are to :

• Minimise nuisance to neighbours and the public;
• Reduce discharges to the environment including dust emissions and spillages of building material;
• Improve visual impact of construction sites and their immediate environment.

The Regulations became in force on a gradual basis on the 1st of November 2007.
